State of the District

South Coast Water District General Manager Mike Dunbar presented the State of the District for 2010-11 to the Board of Directors at the November 10, 2011 Board meeting.  This annual report provides the status on top priorities in the District’s Strategic Plan by detailing Key Results (2010-2011) and Key Objectives (next 3-5 years).

The Board updated District priorities at a Strategic Plan Review Workshop on March 21, 2011.  At that public workshop, District priorities were divided into two categories -- the Top 5 Capital Projects and the Top 5 Non-Capital project as follows:

Top 5 Priorities – Capital Projects – Next 3-5 Years

  1. Participation in Ocean Desalination Projects
  2. Tunnel Stabilization & Sewer Pipeline Replacement Project
  3. Groundwater Recovery Facility Expansion
  4. Recycled Water Improvements
  5. Joint Regional Water Supply System Capital Replacement Projects   

Top 5 Priorities – Non-Capital Projects – Next 3-5 Years

  1. Five-Year Financial Plan
  2. District Operations Center
  3. Emergency Preparedness & Response
  4. San Juan Creek Property Development
  5. Implementation of the Organizational Assessment
