Water is our focus.


South Coast Water District provides water and sewer service to more than 40,000 residents and over two million visitors a year in the coastal communities of Dana Point, South Laguna and areas of north San Clemente. We deliver 7 million gallons of potable water to customers' homes and businesses daily and remove 4 million gallons of wastewater for treatment.

The District is committed to protecting public health and the environment.
Drinking Water Quality:  Meets all federal and state standards.
Zero Sewer Spill Standard:  Spill prevention through continued maintenance, repair and capital improvements to facilities.
 
The District maintains extensive facilities to serve its customers.
Potable Water System:  147 miles of pipeline, 15 reservoirs, 11 pump stations,
1,500 fire hydrants.
Recycled Water System:  15 miles of pipeline, 3 storage tanks, 3 pump stations.
Sewer System:  136 miles of pipeline 3,800 manholes, 14 lift stations and
3 miles of force mains.


We are governed by a Board of Directors elected at large by residents.
