Board of Directors – Background Information

Before the 1999 consolidation of two water districts and one sanitary district into the present-day South Coast Water District, there were 17 directors in total across the three separate boards.

In 1999, the newly-consolidated South Coast Water District formed an 11-member interim board, consisting of representatives from each of the three previous boards.

In 2000, the Board of Directors voted to reduce its size to seven members, and in 2002 to five members.
