SEWER USAGE CHARGES are based on actual water use – and, for commercial customers, also on the strength and flow of their wastewater. The less water used, the lower the sewer usage charges. The lower the strength and flow of wastewater, the lower the sewer usage rate. Sewer usage charges are variable and are paid on the District bill. Commercial customers using recycled water or potable water for irrigation of landscaped areas (dedicated meters) do not pay sewer usage charges.
